Tell 'em They're Dreaming is a Chrome extension that displays discount calculations and light-hearted commentary alongside property listings on realestate.com.au and domain.com.au.

What the extension does

• Reads property price information from listing pages you visit on realestate.com.au and domain.com.au.
• Displays a badge alongside the listed price showing a discounted "offer" price, calculated locally in your browser.
• Highlights common real estate marketing phrases in property descriptions.
• Shows relevant quotes from the 1997 Australian film The Castle.

What we do not do

• We do not collect any data from you.
• We do not transmit any information to any server — ours or anyone else's.
• We do not track which properties you view.
• We do not use analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
• We do not sell, share, or disclose any information about you.

Local storage

The extension stores two preferences locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage.sync API:

• Discount percentage – your chosen offer discount (default: 20%)
• Enabled/disabled toggle – whether the extension is active

These preferences sync across your Chrome devices if you are signed into Chrome, but are never transmitted to or accessible by us.

Permissions

The extension requests access only to realestate.com.au and domain.com.au. It does not have access to any other websites or your browsing history.
